Assam is situated on the eastern-north side of India. It is located south of eastern Himalayas and river of Brahmaputra and Barak valleys. Assam is mainly the agricultural land, and hills in Assam decorate the state with their splendour. Assam has an area of total 78,550 sq km. The capital of Assam is Dispur and it’s a part of Kamrupan District. It is a small place and economically much sufficient of Assam and also a seat of Government of Assam. The state is divided into 27 Districts. The Assam city presents the variety and diverse culture. With all needed facilities, natural beauty. Assam city attracts many visitors with its beauty. Many cities of Assam bear the price of nature, Assam has a most wanted destination for tourists. Silchar, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, and Nagaon are the major and important cities in Assam.

Population

Assam presents an exclusive combination of many sects that habit rich land from long run time. The number of people living in Assam is 31,169,272 according to the census 2011. The growth of population in Assam is 16.93%. The population is a coming together of different races like Aryans, Negroids, Indo-Burmese, and Mongoloid. They have rich to each other and give a unique identity to the people of Assam.

Geography of Assam

Shillong-nature of beauty!!!!!!!!

Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya, it is one of the luxury places to visit in the eastern north part of India. It is the very rich city for its culture, nature of beauty and many things. Melghat Tiger Reserve

Melghat Tiger Reserve has 82 tigers and also has other animals like wild dogs, Sambhar, sloth bears. It situates in Chikhaldara in Dharni tehsil of Amaravati district. The tiger reserve 1676.93 sq-Km is one of the last Indian tigers in Maharashtra.
