Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan state in India. In the center of the City, you will see an ancient City of all pink colour stone walls. Because of this, Jaipur is also known as the Pink City of India. This is the first planned City of India and the chief Architect was Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Maharaja Jai Singh II, the king of Amber built this City for the needs of his growing empire in the year 1727.

The City Palace at the heart of the old City was the residence of the emperors of this kingdom. The ancient furniture, ornaments, musical instruments, armoury & clothes are on display in the museum inside the palace. There is still a building in the campus which is a residence of the current princess of Jaipur.
Amber Fort or Amer palace
Amber Fort or Amer palace (Amer ka Kila) is about 11 km from Jaipur in the hills & is a primary attraction of Jaipur tourism. This fort is made up of red sandstone and white marble. It shows an architecture, which is a combination of Hindu and Mughal style.
The legendary palace is about 7 centuries old and the art, carving, view of Marota Lake from the palace and the garden inside the palace is all breathtaking. The fort is spread across 4 Sq. Km area and takes considerable time to explore. Sheesh Mahal (a room covered with thousands of tiny mirrors) is another attraction inside the Amer Fort. Jantar Mantar is a place where everyone falls in love of Science. This is the best of its kind in the Country, as there are other replicas also. This shows how the Royal family kept a track of days, months, time, latitude and longitude of a place with the walls and pits. It’s an extremely interesting place and can be known well with a guide. Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal
Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) is a great architectural construction made up of red sandstone and Jal Mahal (Water Palace) is the one which is located in the midst of Man Sagar lake are the photography points in this tour. You need to view both these Palaces from outside.
